As Reiji reached the truck, he saw a crowd surrounding it. They held eight-pointed crosses and pitchforks. It seemed they discovered Reina inside the truck, and they knew she was a demon, which was strange because she looked exactly like a human. There was no way for a regular human to discover her true identity unless someone already knew of Reina. Hurriedly but calmly, Reiji walked to the center of the mob.
“What’s going on? Why are you people gathered around
my carriage.” Reiji asked.
“You! This is your carriage. You dare bring her
here...a demon. This is blasphemy to the highest of the highest order. As chief
of this village, I hereby order her and your execution.” The elderly man, from
before, said.
“What? How can you decide that in an instant? You
can’t prove she’s a demon. Plus, we did nothing wrong.”
“I don’t need proof to execute demons. Especially,
if it’s the demon that my daughter gave birth to.”
Shocked, Reiji and the other villagers stood
completely still, except for a few men and women fainting. Embarrassed, the
woman from earlier looked down at the ground.
“What?” Reiji said, breaking the silence.
“You heard me. That girl you’re hiding in your
carriage is my granddaughter. A monstrosity that should have never been born.”
He said.
Reiji looked at the village chief with a murderous
look. “Chief, I’m just going to say this once. Shut your mouth unless you’re
going to apologize.”
“Who do you think you’re talking to, young man. I
have complete authority in this village and you’re here as guests. If I say I
want you dead, you should unsheathe your sword and jam it right in your chest
to appease my orders. Understand?” The elder man said.
“Excuse me. Who are you to talk to our cousin like
that?” Shiro said as she walks through the crowd easily.
“Yeah, you should get on your knees and beg
forgiveness,” Raven said coming from behind her.
Immediately, everybody in the village back away from
the chief. They instinctively knew he was going to die. Not only did he
admitted his daughter gave birth to a demon, which he hid from them for years,
but he also offended one of the heroes who saved their village from three
dragons. They knew they had two options; fight and die a meaningless death, or
walk away.
“Enough, we’re done here. Let head back home before
my mother kills my biological parents.” Reiji said as he walked to the truck’s
door.
“I’m surprised. He didn’t act on his emotions, nor
did he use his powers to force his beliefs on them. He truly understands what
it means to have unlimited power.” Raven thought to herself.
Reiji, wearing his regular clothes, walked out of
the truck with Reina behind him. Scared for her life, She hides behind Reiji.
Seeing how scared the little girl was, the village chief’s daughter stepped out
from her father’s side.
“Don’t worry, you can come out. We’re not going to
hurt you.” She said.
Slowly, Reina walked out from behind Reiji and
looked at the chief’s daughter.
“There you go... out where everyone can see you and
that pretty face.” The chief’s daughter said as she got on her knees. “So,
what’s your name, sweetie?”
“Reina,” Reina answered nervously.
“Reina, that’s a beautiful name. My name is Sarah.”
“That’s a pretty name too.”
“Thank you. Do you know who I am?” Sarah asked.
“The mean lady who leading an angry mob to me. Did I
do something wrong?” she asked, innocently.
Everyone in the village suddenly felt a little guilt
for what they did.
“No, Reina. You didn’t do anything wrong. The people
here are just gathering to say goodbye to us.” Reiji said.
“Oh, but what about the quest and the others?”
“The quest was completed and the others are going to
meet us back home. Speaking of which, we should get going. We need to get back
to-
At that moment, Reiji realized that he doesn’t even
know the name of the village he rebuilt. Reina looked at him with a concerned
expression.
“What’s wrong, Reiji?” Reina asked.
“Oh, nothing. I was just thinking about the demon
village’s name.” He said.
“Well, it doesn’t have an official name. We always
called it the hidden village.” Reina said.
Once hearing that, Reiji started brainstorming names
for it. Then, he felt a massive surge of magic fill the air. He immediately
knew the barrier around the village just disintegrated.
“We have to get back to the village,” Reiji said as
he picked up Reina and took off into the sky.
Immediately, Raven and Shiro opened their wings and
followed him. However, unlike Reiji, both Shiro and Raven used an ability that
most Jan-gu could willfully execute. This ability was called Dimensional Warp.
The user runs at speeds that break into the dimensional barriers without
breaking them completely. This allows them to travel over long distances
without the need for an accurate location used for opening gates or dimensional
portals.
“So, why was Reiji wearing that ridiculous suit?”
Shiro asked.
“Those suits allow him to use his powers without
people of his world noticing his abilities. They’re not ready for the
supernatural apparently.” Raven replied.
“Yeah, that’s right. This universe is one of the
many that believe beings like us are nothing but myths and stories. And, this
world is in the middle of an evolution period.” Shiro said.
As Raven and Shiro slow down out of Dimensional
Warp, they are shot down with magic blasts from the city’s defense system. This
was originally created for defending from invaders from human countries, but
somehow the city defenses activated. A few minutes later, Reiji arrived and saw
the city’s main cannon charging for a huge attack.
“Sage, what going on?” He asked as he lands in an
alley.
“Sorry to say, but you won’t be hearing from your
annoying computer system for a while.” Tai’s voice telepathically said.
“What did you do?” Reiji asked as he released his
power.
“I rebooted your enormous computer in your fancy
warehouse. And, might I add, I’m impressed. I mean really, dude. You got stuff
in here that most nerds would geek over. Not to mention, the trillions of
dollars worth of equipment down here. Jesus.”
“Tai, since you’re an idiot, I’ll give you this
warning. Get your dirty, greedy hand off my stuff, or face the consequences.”
“Scary. Luckily, you’re out there and I’m in here
with your beautiful family... Tied up... with blades at their necks. Are you
getting what I’m saying to you?”
“You bastard!” Reiji yelled out loud.
“What’s wrong?” Touka asked as she walks out the
door.
“How?”
“We were unable to teleport any closer to your house
because someone placed a magic barrier that locks the space around a point. So,
I chose a building at random to hide in until we figured out what happened.”
Reo said.
“That was Sage’s idea, not mine,” Reiji said.
“We know. And, we’re not blaming you. But right now,
we have two big problems and no way to solve them.” Anko said.
“There’s another problem besides this one.”
“Well, technically, there’s three, but the last one
can resolve itself. Right now, we have to handle those idiots who have this
world’s most powerful weapons. And, the queen of Hyland is being lowered into a
pit of magma, as we speak.”
“What! We have to save her right now.” Reiji said.
“You sure you want to do that. Once you do, you’ll
have a country, who has the most influence in this world, as an enemy. Not to
mention, your powers will be exposed to the leaders of your previous world. Who
knows what they’ll try, just to replicate them.” Reo explained.
“What do expect for me to do, Father?” Reiji asked
with a concerned expression.
“I don’t expect you to do anything. You make your
own choices.” Reo said.
“Father, I want to help her, but I need to get
stronger in the next minute,” Reiji said with a resolved look.
“Well, I do have a couple of ways, but only one of
them isn’t temporary.”
“Reo, you’re not seriously thinking about doing
that,” Lucie said worriedly.
“You heard him. He wants to get stronger in the next
minute. If we take him there, he could train there for five hundred years in
that minute, and be back to handle both problems alone. Besides, he needs to
know what he’s capable of.”
Unable to argue with his logic, Lucie understood she
had to let her son go with his father and second mother.
“Okay, Reiji, we’re ready. But, first.” Reo snapped
his fingers and new black and red clothes appeared on Reiji. “These clothes
should protect you from the planet crushing gravity and suffocating air for the
time we’re there.”
“Wait, what? Where are we goiiiin…” Reiji said as he
dragged into a portal by Reo and Anko.
Meanwhile, in a coliseum, The queen is slowly being
lowered into a pit of magma, for her public execution. She was beaten and her
dress was torn.
“So, this is how my life ends, huh. Despite how it
started, I’m glad for my life. My only regret is that I couldn’t serve you, my
love, Reiji.” She said as she has a flashback from four days ago.
After Reiji and his family escaped Hyland, the king
doubled the guards around the castles, and did random house checks around the
capital, thinking they were still near. However, this quickly affected the
opinions of Hyland’s citizens, which was already favorably low. Before the
citizens thought the royal family was dysfunctional with no chance of getting
better. With this, the citizens were preparing for a revolution. The king knew
he had to have a strategy to calm his citizens. So, he called a meeting of his
most trusted advisors but was also joined by the princesses, who gave the king
upsetting news.
The queen was sitting in the royal chambers while
admiring the necklace, given to her by Reiji while having her hair brushed and
styled by her personal maids. Suddenly, soldiers storm into the room and
surround the queen and the maids.
“What is this? Storming the royal chambers without a
good reason. This is a serious offense.” the queen said.
“You’re wrong, my dear. They do have a good reason.
They’re here to apprehend a traitor of the kingdom.” The king said as he walked
into the room.
“Traitor? What are you talking about? Everyone in
this room has been loyal to the royal crown. There are no traitors here.” She
said.
“Oh, but you’re wrong. There is a traitor in this
room. It’s you, my dear.” The king said as he walked up closer to the queen.
Then, he noticed the necklace she was wearing. He grabbed the necklace and
ripped it off. “Captain, take my traitorous wife to the dungeons and triple the
guards around her. Kill anyone that tries to get near her.” He commanded.
”Yes sir.” The captain said as he grabbed the queen.
”Let go of me. You’re making a mistake. Let go. The
king has gone mad. He will be the destruction of our kingdom if he continues.
That’s why the agent of God was sent.” The queen said as she’s escorted out of
the room.
Later that night, the queen was visited by Val and
Freya, who attended the king’s meeting.
“Isn’t that sweet? Visiting your mother in the
dungeon for being accused of treason. Why are you being so nice to someone like
that?” The queen said.
“Isn’t only right to get an explanation on why our
mother would betray our father?” Freya said.
“You have no idea what you’re talking about. I
didn’t betray your father. He has been paranoid ever since that boy and his
family escaped. It did something to his pride as ki-
“Enough, Mother! I saw you. You were hiding the
necklace that your father ripped off you. It was a gift from that boy my age,
wasn’t it.” Val said, interrupting the queen.
“You wouldn’t understand, Valkyrie. That boy showed
me things that you only read in the books of the legendary library.” The queen
said as she turned away from her daughters.
”Then, explain what you saw? What is that boy?”
Freya said.
Suddenly, the queen, coming out of her flashback,
felt something grab onto her. She opened her eyes and saw the boy with long red
hair and silver eyes.
“You came for me.” She said.
“Well, of course, I came for you. I can’t let you
die because of me.” Reiji said.
“Well, you’re quite the player making an old lady’s
heart like mine beat like that. But, you should let me down now.” The queen
said, with a red face.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Reiji said as
she lowered her leg down.
Suddenly, she felt something intensely hot. Then,
she looked around her and saw he was standing on top of the magma pit. Scared,
she gripped Reiji’s neck tighter.
“Hey, calm down before we fa-,” Reiji said as he
falls into the pit, shocking everyone in the coliseum.
“Well, that handles one problem. Now, we can focus
on looking for the rest of the other-worlders. “The king said as he got up out
of his seat.
”Uhh, father.” Freya said as she pointed to the
magma pit, which was forming a whirlpool.
Slowly, the magma pit was emptied, leaving Reiji and
the queen standing at the bottom. Then, Reiji floated out of the pit. Snapping
his fingers, holographic screens appeared throughout the whole country.
“Citizens of Hyland, my name is Reiji A. Lucrada,
Prince of the Jan-ga and the new king of demons and beastman. Your king has
declared me as a traitor to humanity and decided that, by any means necessary,
I should be killed. Unfortunately, this is a form of declaring war on me, and I
won’t take it lightly. But, you shouldn’t worry about your life. I won’t be
taking any innocent lives. You’re all safe.” Reiji said.
“Guards, capture that boy.” the king yelled.
Suddenly, ten royal guards rushed from all the
entrances and surrounded Reiji and the queen.
“Come along nice and quietly.”
“Deja Vu.” Reiji thought to himself.
“Reiji, What do you think we should do? Give up?”
the queen asked.
“No, I have a plan, but you might not like it,”
Reiji said.
“What are you planning to do?”
Reiji, effortlessly, threw the queen into the air.
The guards, trained to focus on their enemy, didn’t take their eyes off him,
however, they all were instantly knocked out.
“Your majesty, I think you should learn from this
day. How I showed you and your people mercy.”
Then, Reiji held his arms out and caught the Queen.
"What the heck?! Now is not the right time for
exciting me.” the queen said as she playfully hitting Reiji.
Reiji laughed.
"I told you wouldn't like it. But, it gave me
enough time to take down the royal guards,” he said as he landed.
Then, he let the queen down, out of his hand, and
summoned a motorcycle, he called Rhino cycle. This motorcycle is Reiji's
fastest vehicle. Using a lightning magic motor, it can reach speeds up to
five-hundred thousand miles per hour, if he's not careful. In front of it is an
invisible shield that acts like a Rhino’s horn. It’s can be used to break into
any wall or castle gate or clearing any obstacle in its way. Way more powerful
than any siege weapon this world could make.
Reiji got on the rhino cycle, and picked up the
helmet, giving it to the queen.
"Get on,” he said.
" Uh, Are you sure this is safe?” the queen
asked.
"Yeah, it's perfectly safe. It won't bite or
kill you.” Reiji said.
"Alright, I'm trusting you.” the queen said as
she got on. However, she got on the motorcycle like she was riding a horse.
Both her legs were on one side like a high-class lady riding a horse. Noticing
this, Reiji had no choice, but to bring her across his lap to make sure she
doesn't fall off the back. The queen turned red when he did this, but Reiji
ignored it and started the motorcycle. The engine roared loudly, which echoed
throughout the stadium.
"Oh right, those demons and beastmen that are
in hiding here in the city. I'll be back for you soon to take you to a safe
haven to call home. In one week’s time, you'll be free and prosperous in ways
you can only imagine.”
Then, he took off through one of the gates, the
royal guards used, allowing for a clean and easy getaway. However, there was
still one or two problems in their way; Freya and Valkyrie.
"Is there a problem?” Reiji asked.
"Yes, actually, there is. You see you and that
woman in your lap are fugitives of this country.” Valkyrie said.
“We can't let neither of you go,” Freya said.
Reiji sighed.
"Girls, get out of our way!” the queen said.
"Sorry, mother, but I'm afraid that's not going
to happen,” Valkyrie said.
"Okay, the hard way.” Reiji thought to himself
as he revved up his motorcycle. Then, he propelled forward as if he was a rhino
himself. However, before the invisible shield touched the girls, Reiji opened a
portal between them, sending himself and the queen outside the capital.
However, before the portal closed, Freya and Valkyrie jumped after them.
Appearing inside the building, where Reo and the
others were waiting for his return, Reiji was bombarded with questions about
his transformation, especially from Touka.
"How does the situation look?” Reiji asked.
"Not good. Your mansion alone is more fortified
than the castle back in our universe. You set a dimension lock barrier around
it, a magic shield that can withstand any attack, and your golem army is
patrolling the grounds 24/ 7. Just what we’re preparing for?” Reo explained.
"Truthfully, I don't know. I let Sage handle
all the defense plans for the mansion and city. But, luckily, we did come to an
agreement if this ever happened, we would destroy the main power battery p
located deep beneath the city.” Reiji said with a serious expression.
"Hey! No one said it was impossible to take
back your city. I just saying it doesn't make sense to have it so fortified.
Your golem army would’ve been enough to run and protect this city while you
were away. Speaking of which...
Suddenly, a wall explodes making a large hole.
"Found you,” A golem, who had a punk rock look,
said with Tai's voice.
"Seriously! First, you steal my city and Armory.
Then, you threaten my family and familiars. Now, you altered my golems. You
crossed too many lines. I'm coming for you head-on.” Reiji said.
"Well, seems like we got no choice to follow
you, but what are we going to do about them?” Reo said as he pointed to
everybody else.
Raven and Shiro were still unconscious from the
magic blast. Mia and Touka could defend themselves, but it was a matter of the
queen and her baggage (her daughters). They weren't the fighting type of
people. They were the sadistic punishers of Hyland. They had no type of martial
arts training.
"One of us has to stay behind,” Reiji said.
"That's my boy. Speaking like a leader during
his first battle. Ryuu, stay behind and watch over everybody. And, make sure
these two don't try anything crazy.” Reo said.
"As you wish,” Ryuu said as they walked out the
hole in the wall.
Then, Reiji, Reo, Anko, and Lucie released powerful
auras, that spread throughout the city and the surrounding forest. Even behind
the mansion’s barrier, Tai and the others felt them coming.
“Tai, what are we going to do?” one of his party
members asked, scared of what's to come.
“I don't know. I don't expect them to be so
powerful,” he responded as he looked at the screen.
Then, he thought of a plan to use the hostages. He
turned around and looked at his hostages. It was Reiji’s family, the demons,
and beastmen. Figuring the demons and beastmen wouldn't hold any leverage, he
ordered his party to take them away.
"Tai, why are you doing this? You and Reiji
used to be best friends. What happened?” Eriko pleaded.
"You really want to know. Your son is a
horrible person.” Layla said.
"What are you talking about?”
"I'm talking about the reason we broke up. He
doesn't have the capability to love anyone. He’s a soulless person.”
"I don't understand. You broke up with him. Why
are you mad?”
"Because, I wasted so much of my time with
Reiji when I could’ve been with my true love,” Layla said.
"So, you take my family hostage and control of
my city just to get back at me for you having a horrible time with me during
our relationship,” Reiji said as he floated through the roof of the Armory with
Reo, Anko, Lucie, and he's last mother, a Kitsune named Kasai.
“Reiji!” his mother yelled.
"Don't worry. I'll finish this quickly. Then,
get you out.”
“Don't think so!” Tai yelled as he held out his
hand, expecting something to happen. Sadly, nothing happened. Reo and Anko
walked over to the main computer and touched it. Then, something strange
happened. Not only did it fix the problems Tai caused, but it also gave it an
upgrade, resulting in the whole Armory getting an upgrade.
"Hope you don't mind, Reiji, but we wanted to
give you your birthday present a little earlier,” Reo said.
“Plus, he was waiting for your armors to activate
their ‘VsWorld’ protocol. Luckily, we caught on to his plans and completely
upgraded your Armory to the Jan-gu standards. Now, you don't have to worry
about idiots like him and her.” Anko said as Reiji looked shocked.
"Speaking of which, Layla, you and Tai deserve
each other. You know why because you need someone to put a leash on you to keep
you in line. And, Tai needs someone that doesn't run away from him and his
strange kinks. A match made in heaven.” Reiji said, shocking his mother who was
still tied up.
"He has a sharp tongue like me, but the
kindness of Reo. You definitely raised him right.” Lucie said as she walked
over to Eriko. Then using a small fire from her fingertip, she cut Eriko's
bindings, along with the other.
Suddenly, Eriko slaps Lucie.
"You left your baby outside my door in the
cold. Don't you feel any guilt,” she asked.
"No, because I knew he was being left with the
most trustworthy and responsible person I know. A person who gave him a life
where could choose his own path without others trying to pursue him for his
lineage. So, you can hate me all you want, but know this. You were the ideal
person I wanted Reiji to learn from.” Lucie said as she transformed.
"Amiko? You were Reiji’s real mother.” Eriko
said as she began to cry as she had flashbacks of the two of them.
"Well, my real name is Lucie A. Lucrada. But,
yeah, I gave birth to him, but you raised him.”. Lucie said hugging Eriko.
Afterward, Reiji was exploring his newly upgraded Armory
with his family while looking for the demons and Tai’s party members. He saw
new technology he has never seen before including a satellite capable of making
universal communication possible, a demon/beastman tracker, and a prototype for
the new shield generator.
"Father, how did you do all of this?” Reiji
asked.
“Well, I just pictured a highly advanced Armory that
would make Tony jealous. Luckily, Anko was thinking of the same thing.”
“Oh, make sense. Wait, Tony? As in Stark. He's
real?” Reiji asked with excitement.
"Yeah, along with the rest of the mess-ups...
Anko hits Reo's side.
“I mean heroes of that universe,” Reo said.
“I would love to go there, one day,” Reiji said with
sparkles in his eyes.
“I'll take you one day, but you have to get
stronger," Reo said.
Reiji jumped up with excitement. Layla looks at
Reiji as she thinks about what Reiji said. Then, she looked away as if she was
frustrated by his words.
"So, what if I'm a little high strung or
bitchy, that doesn’t mean I need to kept in line. And, what if Tai is a massive
pervert, who likes NTR and S&M situations, that doesn't...
Layla noticed Reo, Anko, and Reiji looking at her,
as she was thinking to herself.
"What?” Layla asked.
"Really, you think you are a little
high-strung,” Reiji said.
"How?” Layla asked, confused.
"Jan-gu and primordials have a sensitive
telepathic ability. It's very hard to control this ability even we can't fully
do it yet. Plus, with you angry like that, you might as well be yelling at
us." Reo explained.
"So, good questions. When you say massive
pervert, what do you mean? And, do you do all these thi...
"Anko, dear, I don't think you should be
talking about that with the girl. Especially, around the boy, you’re talking
about.” Reo whispered.
“You're right,” Anko said.
"So, Reiji, did you enjoy your night with Raven
and Mia?” Anko yelled.
Reo slaps his forehead.
“ What?” his mother, Layla, and one other voice, who
wasn't a part of the group, said.
Meanwhile, at the building, where they left
everybody, Mia and Raven sneeze simultaneously, waking Raven and
Shiro."Well, this could get worse.”
Back at the Armory, Reiji’s mother is yelling at
Reiji, while Reo looks for something. After five minutes, he finds a box of
what was looking for. Metallic balls. He picks up four and throws one to Reiji.
Recognizing the item, he activates it and places it over his mother’s mouth.
This was called Gagtech. It basically stops someone from talking or yelling
using highly strong, malleable metal alloy as used in Reiji’s armor.
"I'm sorry, mom, but we have some unwanted
guest to catch,” Reiji said.
"And, don't believe everything you hear from
Anko. She was just teasing Reiji while exposing our targets. She didn't mean
anything by it.” Reo said as he placed a gagtech on both Anko and Lucie. They
looked at him with anger and bloodlust. He, ignoring their expressions, walked
over to Reiji. "Alright, Reiji, here's a tip on catching unwanted guests.
Pull them close to you, and take them out. As for seeing them, close your eyes
and feel their magical power in their bodies. Don't use your eyes. Trust your
Jan-gu senses.”
Reiji closed his eyes and followed Reo’s
instructions. Canceling everything out in his surroundings, he focused on
expanding his senses past his own body. However, he unconsciously transformed
into Transcendence form. This rare form was proof a Jan-gu was able to
transcend to the level of primordial like Reo and Anko. Of all of his siblings,
only two others have shown this transformation. Then, he opened his eyes and
blasting a shockwave of power throughout the Armory, causing everything to
levitate.
“Amazing! To say you never used it, your gravity
manipulation is on par with Cassiel and Rias. Now if only you could control
it.” Reo thought to himself.
Then, Tai's party members yelled and screamed.
"Okay, okay, we give. Get us down!”
“Please, I'm afraid of heights.”
"Help! Help! Someone get me down!”
Reacting to their cries, Reiji jumped up and pulled
one of them by the legs while Reo used one of his abilities, energy
manipulation. He formed energy around his hands and extended them to grabbed
the other two guys. Then, Reiji formed handcuffs around their wrists.
"Alright, that's all of them. What should I do
with them?” Reiji thought.
"Maybe, you should put a tracker on them, and
let them go. Or, you can let them stay here in the city until you find a way to
send them home.”
Reiji looked at Reo with a worried expression.
"You already know how to send them back, huh?”
"Yeah, but Earth is not the same. It's
inhabitable, like someone nuked it.
Reo looked at Reiji’s expression, and felt a
satisfied feeling. He seen it in many of his kids, but Reiji was different.
Reiji was the first one they sent off as a baby, and that worried Reo. He
expected Reiji to be angry and reclusive, but Reiji accepted him and his
mothers easily.
"Ahem, forgetting about someone?” Eriko asked
angrily, looking at Reiji and Reo while holding the gagtech in her hand.
Reo and Reiji suddenly felt a warm, heavy pressure
coming from behind them. Afraid to turn around, they did what anybody would do.
“Run,” Reo said as he grabbed Reiji, and teleported
away.
